Lake Palace Hotel
Also known as Jag Niwas, this stunning palace, afloat on Lake Pichola, was developed by Rana Jagat Singh II in the 1730s as a pleasure palace. In 1961, Maharana Bhagwat Singh decided to convert Jag Niwas into a hotel and this conversion placed Udaipur forever on the international map. Since 1971, it has been managed by the Taj Group of Hotels.

Facilities
There are 84 centrally air-conditioned rooms including 17 suites. All rooms overlook either the Lily Pond or the terrace. The rooms are elegantly appointed and offer guest amenities like international direct dial facility, channel music and color television with satellite programs. The rooms are categorised under lake facing rooms, small suites, deluxe suites and historical suites. All the rooms include phones with international direct dial facility, channel music, colour television with satellite programmes and 24 hours room service.

Its two restaurants Jharoka and Neel kamal provide mouth-watering delicacies and its Amrit Sagar is the poshest lounge bar in town.

Shiv Niwas Palace Hotel
Shiv Niwas Palace hotel is a crescent shaped building which provides stunning views of Lake Pichola and the city. All the 34 rooms of the Shiv Niwas Palace Hotel are divided into different categories. There are the two Imperial Suite, three Royal Suites, four Historic Suites, eight Terrace Suites and fourteen Deluxe Rooms. The Imperial suites have a green décor with glass inlay work on the walls, a large sitting room, a fountain in the bedroom and silver coated furniture. The royal suites are the honeymoon suites. The historic suites have a private balcony and antique furniture while the deluxe rooms either offer a private terrace or the view of the city. Apart from facilities like airport transfer, room service, bar, safe deposit boxes, beauty parlor, shops, business center, travel agency, laundry service, wake up call and restaurant, a special recreation and health center includes video player, swimming pool, billiards, squash, boating, horse riding, table tennis, holistic health treatment and Internet facilities that are available on request.

Laxmi Vilas Palace
The Laxmi Vilas Palace overlooks the Fateh Sagar Lake. It is an imposing structure located on a hillock with a panoramic view of the Aravali hills. This heritage hotel has a gracious ambiance and heartwarming hospitality.
